Last weekend, we explored the newly relocated Hobby Stop Utah shop, a one-stop-shop for all railroad enthusiasts. The shop provides classes for builders, ensuring a comprehensive experience. A two-portal or wooden - that is the question?🤔 It's that time of year again when I have to decide on a new design. Going back through my show requests, I see a resounding request for more tunnel options. 🚇 As much as I would like to create them all, I do not have the time. So, I have narrowed it down to two options. 1. A two-track portal (design TBD) 2. or a single-track wooden timber portal Both will be offered in various train scales and as kits, which you can finish as you wish. Life takes many twists and turns down the track of life. Sometimes, we are derailed for a time or sidelined to destinations unknown. I have discovered that where I thought I was going and where I am today are two separate tracks that parallel each other and have entirely different views.

My Decent into Train Model Madness

My descent into railroad madness started when I decided to create a train tunnel for my father’s G-scale indoor train set as a Christmas gift. I planned to incorporate two laser-engraved portals I had designed and create a waterfall feature. I clearly needed to learn better techniques as I stumbled down the track.
